Just when you thought the only thing that goes on in October is Halloween and Oktoberfest…wrong. The Royal Flush Festival is a new film, music, arts fest that has just been created from the combination of the E. Vil City Film Fest and Royal Flush Magazine. Everything is included now, from new films, local and emerging bands, group art shows and all sorts of fun stuff. It’s also a great way to meet and greet other artist in the area because it’s a whole lot less pretentious than more famous festivals.

The E. Vil City Film Fest began in 2005, and now joined with nationally-distributed Royal Flush, together they are on their way to becoming an internationally recognized arts organization. Some of it is free (like the art shows), some of it is not free, but you get deals (like, buy a ticket to a film and get into a panel for free). Check out the website for all of the details. Yours truly will be attending and photographing much of the festival, so be prepared for some memorable moments.
Some highlights will include:
► The Antagonists: A Group Art Show
► Kenny Muhammad AKA The Human Orchestra
► Suicide City and Goes Cube @ Crash Mansion
► Automorphosis: An Art Car Show
► Melissa Auf der Maur @ The Knitting Factory
► This is Berlin, Not New York Documentary by Ethan Minsker
► Evil City Horror Shorts (a whole bunch of short horror films)
► Abraham Obama Documentary by Kevin Chapados
