Alright so I’m not really into this guy. I guess I kind of enjoy listening to some of the songs at first but it’s just frat-rock enough to make me feel embarrassed for liking it, ala Jack Johnson (but worse). The more I listen, the more mundane and lame it gets. I’m pretty sure the lyrics suck but growing up with a brother into the occult can really make you insecure about liking something unabstract. But fuck it, judge it on your own. Wow that post was all about me, yikes. Donavon Frankenreiter’s new album Pass It Around hit stores on Tuesday. He’s also at Outside Lands this weekend and I know our QC rep there likes him. Oops.

yeah i just listened to this actual album — its pretty weak — nothing at all to distinct from all the other crap in this genre. generic lyrics and sounds — bla as fuck – there’s one good song on the disc, “your heart”
