Blood Feathers is a band from Philly. They’re tough dudes. They like rock music and rhythm and blues and that boogie woogie shuggie shuggie and catfish and pie a whole lot. They drink plenty sweet tea, whatever that means, and they once set a piano on fire. Not many folks know them because they cut one Dixie-dynamite sumbuck of a record a few years ago called Curse and Praise, and then slipped off to make cowboy music with some skeletons in the High Country and raise blue hens in a bunker in the Pine Barrens. Now they’re back and somewhere they found a horn or two and a slide guitar and a handsome skunk named Delicious with a limp like a gimp and a rakish wink that drives the skirts up a wall. Listen to this here tune and then listen to that new album appropriately titled Goodness Gracious, courtesy of the fine folk at the newly forged Philebrity Label. She’s a real doozy. Goodness Gracious will appear on vinyl record and digital record only, on January 12, 2010. Go to the band site for the single and a bonus track.
