So it’s that time again. I know what you’re thinking: what now? Well, it’s near the end of the year and near the end of the decade, so it’s all about the list. What’s the best toy to get, what’s the best album of 2009, what’s the best album of the first decade of 2000, what’s the worst album of 2009, it all becomes too much. I guess we’re all obsessive in that way, we need lists to categorize and check off. It really is a gratifying experience. I feel like I had a productive week, did you? If not, don’t sweat it and enjoy the Reel.

► Let’s Talk About Songs That Define Brooklyn
Sure to be torn apart and criticized, NYMag released their list of 40 songs that are at the heart of Brooklyn’s emergence as the music capitol. You have your Grizzly Bear, Suckers, The National, Panda Bear, Japanther, Matt and Kim, Gang Gang Dance, and LCD Soundsystem to name a few. Check out the list here, any songs they left out?
Once again, my time for talking is done. Enjoy the gorgeous styling of Massive Attack and Grizzly Bear. Enjoy Veteran’s Day, and all condolences to Jerry Fuchs, a great drummer who seems to be just as great of a person.
