When we called the show at Glasslands last month our “inaugural Quiet Color Showcase,” that implied that there would be more in the future. Well, that wasn’t just empty chatter, because this Saturday we bring you the second installment, our own entry into L Magazine’s Northside Festival. We’ve got psych-dreamers Mirror Mirror, psych-romantickers Esque, pummeling post-punk a la Blackouts from Post Honeymoon (from Chicago, featuring former members of New Black), electrofreakouts from NT, and kicking off with the quietly affecting Shivers, plus DJ Niteline playing anything you can add the suffix -wave to. It’s at Red Star bar on 37 Greenpoint Ave. across from Coco 66 in Greenpoint starting at 8 p.m. $6 at the door, $4 with an RSVP at going.com/quietcolornorthside.
