Keys N Krates, a live hip-hop band out of Toronto, CA, is joining forces with Planet Rump to bring the power of interplanetary funk to the back room at Public Assembly in Williamsburg tonight. Jasmine Solano, a Philly Motown girl turned hip hopster has just been added to the bill. Representing on the airwaves and turntables since she was 17, nowadays you’ll find Jasmine Solano DJing in NYC and on Integrated Radio. Planet Rump has been described as an interplanetary dance party that harnesses the power of the cosmos to move your funky ass. DJ Tantric, Miss Strawberry, Nasty Ness, and CoverBoy are your intergalactic funkateers spinning electro-funk, disco, and boogie vinyl from the 70s to the early 90s and performing a hip-hop live set that features a casio keyboard.
