TOPSHOP HITS NYC

by alyssa

If you happen to be strolling down Broadway and Broome tomorrow, and you see a swarm of trendy girls running around the streets in a frenzy, do not be alarmed.  You may absolutely take a moment to revel in the madness and laugh at the display of flailing skinny jeans and patterned tunics, but do not fear the worst (Urban Outfitters has exploded, there’s a hipster block party, etc. etc.).  The commotion is simply due to the New York opening of London’s highly coveted mega store, TOPSHOP.

Those who religiously read Nylon or scour fashion blogs in their spare time, have undoubtedly heard the name thrown around, dreamed about, incessantly worshipped- and anyone who’s ever wasted hours on the website, or rummaged through the store during UK adventures can attest as to why this one store has created such world-wide buzz.

Boasting eight different viable brands, a boutique collection offering styles from London’s top emerging designers, a spring line by Kate Moss, as well as a mish-mosh of eclectic, chic, and cutting-edge dresses, tops, bottoms, accessories, and shoes, Topshop has become the go-to haven for girls who dress to make a statement.

For the New York opening, Topshop is going all out- featuring in-store performances by the likes of LCD Soundsystem‘s James Murphy and The Whip, complimentary hair-styling, makeovers, and manicures, styling tips from in-store advisors, a free t-shirt with purchases over $100, and a chance to win a trip for two to London.

Still not impressed?  Students will receive 10% off their purchase all year round with the presentation of any student ID card at the cash desk- and lord knows us college folk need all the discounts we can get our broke little hands on!

London’s calling, so get your butt down to Broadway and Broom tomorrow and check it out!
