An abbreviated reel this week but stimulating nonetheless. We’ve got an update on Manchester Orchestra plus re-issues for Nick Cave and Aphex Twin. As a special treat, here’s an MP3 from the latter. One side note I feel I must mention: I learned of Aphex Twin as a 13 year old at a record store. Both me and my best friend were from divorced parents so we decided to purchase a cd under joint custody. We decided we’d pick it randomly based on the first cover that jumped out at us. Richard D. James became our child that day, and we’ll forever love him unconditionally.
