So it sucks for most of us that this party is in Canada but it’s a fun party prospect regardless..
Brendan Canning and Kevin Drew of Broken Social Scene along with Jimmy Shaw of Metric are hosting a dance party on New Years Eve at the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto. No performances are scheduled but if you judge people by the bands they like, this could be a fun crowd to drink with. Tickets are $25 Canadian via TicketMaster if you aint got plans. I’d go.. And a quick Metric note is that their new track “Help I’m Alive” got released on itunes in Canada last week. It’s a gorgeous track that will be out on digital release in the U.S. in early ‘09. Thank god my roommate is from Montreal and has access to the Canadian itunes store or I would’ve been pissed..
