I’ll be honest and admit that I was just looking for a reason to write about Ms. Peyroux after a savvy friend of mine featured her on a recent mixtape. Fate would have it that a ridiculously worthwhile event is going down November 23rd at Rockwood Music Hall in Manhattan.
YOU’RE GONNA MAKE ME LONESOME WHEN YOU GO:
The venue hosts a live interview series on the second Sunday of every month and November happens to feature a Thanksgiving session with jazz sultress Madeleine Peyroux. Her last album came in ‘06 but she’s maintained an industry pulse via charitable performances and media cameos. This woman’s jazz skill is impenetrable. Give in and it will dominate your headphones. The live interview opp at Rockwood sounds like a sexy experience.
