The cure to any momentary, inspirational lapse in video or music is a switch of medium. Luis Cruz Azaceta was born on Easter in Cuba in 1942. His father was an airplane mechanic in the Cuban air force for 33 years, his mother was a housewife. The country’s political situation in 1960 brought Luis to New York where he schooled his painting talents and developed a style unique to his brush. His work has graced the walls of The Met and he won a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1985.
